Vice President of Programs at the Hendricks County Community Foundation, Eric builds relationships in the local community that assist in strategic and effective grantmaking decisions as well as community leadership. After working in the nonprofit sector for over 15 years, Eric knows that building positive relationships and networks in a community truly creates progress. Eric regularly teaches grantmaking best practices for the Indiana Philanthropy Alliance. Prior to joining HCCF, he worked in creative therapy in New York City as well as with Easter Seals and the US Census Bureau in Austin, TX. Hessel, who grew up in Pittsboro, earned a BS in political science from New York University and currently lives in Carmel with his two dogs.
